A Leader is a person who Leads Teams toward accomplishing a task. If the Leader is determined and Leads his Team well then the Team can perform well in all kinds of rough and tough situations too. here are a few tips for the Leaders so they can apply them to manage their Teams well and get the desired results.

  1. Set your Goal first, what are your objectives and what do you want to achieve. A Leader must be clear in his priorities and what he wants to achieve. If the Leader will set his Goal then he can give tasks to his Team. So, be clear and determined to your objective.

  2. Do proper planning to achieve your desired Goals. if planning is not done, nothing can be achieved. Tasks are performed and divided according to proper planning.

  3. Give new challenges to your Team. Being a nonconformist Leader is always helpful to engage your Team with you. Because they cannot access at what time which challenges you can give to them.it makes more involvement of your Team. They remain ready always to face new challenges.

  4. To have the best Team around yourself is only possible when the Leader builds trust among his Team. Trust is very important. They should feel free to tell their problems with you and also with their Team members. to know your business well and to know your Team well is only possible if you build a strong relationship with your work and Team.

  5. To be the best Leader and to manage your Team well do review meetings on regular basis. It builds the interest of Teammates and is also helpful to watch the areas of deficiency. So, you may work better with your Team to achieve the objective of your business.

  6. Mistakes are a part of our lives, during performing tasks and making strategies sometimes Leaders fail to achieve the desired Goal…but it should be discouraging for anybody. Learning from the mistakes and doing better with the experiences is one of the best qualities of a great Leader.

  7. To enhance the performance of your Team rewards are important. A word of appreciation can motivate the Team, rewards should also be given so it helps to involve the Team more with the work and they give their best.

Prime Sauramandala Rural Entrepreneurship Followship

Prime Sauramandala Rural Entrepreneurship Followship

Meghalaya is a state in the Northeastern region of India where about 80% of the population reside in the rural areas. Agriculture and allied activities have been the primary source of livelihood for most of the population in the state but in the present scenario, it can be seen that there has been a shift from these traditional livelihood options. Youth from rural areas are migrating to the cities and other states to search for alternative livelihood opportunities, which constitutes a social problem for the State.

The State has numerous strengths and opportunities that can be leveraged to promote sustainable development. Based on this, the State Government seeks to promote the entrepreneurship ecosystem, to improve the quality of life of its citizens and retain the youth from migrating, as seen by the different programmes started by the State Government in promoting sustainable development and entrepreneurship skills over the years.

The PRIME Sauramandala Rural Entrepreneurship Fellowship (PSREF) offers an opportunity to young and motivated change makers from across the country to join as Fellows and Associates and work closely with rural entrepreneurs in Meghalaya to build and scale their enterprises as well as set up a conducive environment for others to succeed. They will identify the most propitious rural entrepreneurs in the respective blocks and villages and will be mentoring them in the processes of value chain development, machinery and technology deployment, frugal innovation, branding & packaging, pricing & unit economics, market linkages, funding and business plans.

The Fellows and Associates will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become part of a unique community geared towards change that will get the opportunity to influence policy decisions and will also be engaged in exchanging ideas with high level officials like the Deputy Commissioners, Principal Secretaries and community leaders, thus giving the young leaders an exposure to high-level decision makers.

During the Fellowship, the candidates will gain comprehensive knowledge and the exposure will thoroughly prepare the Fellows and Associates for a career in public policy, rural development, startup incubation or entrepreneurship promotion with high level national and international organisations.

The PRIME Fellows will constitute candidates from across India that will bring in the experience and expertise from outside the state, whereas the PRIME Associates will constitute candidates from within Meghalaya who are adept with the local culture, dynamics and insights. During this 18-month paid Fellowship, the teams will be placed at the block-level where they will be working in villages to expand the impact that PRIME has already generated in Meghalaya.

Interested individuals may visit www.primemeghalaya.com/fellowship for more information on the fellowship  and the application process.

About PRIME

The local Youth & Women aspiring to become entrepreneurs face numerous constraints due to its geography, topography, remoteness, lack of awareness or access to information, and most importantly lack of proper guidance and training. Therefore, the State Government has launched a comprehensive program in 2020 called PRIME (Promotion and Incubation of Market-driven Enterprises) that looks at entrepreneurship promotion and incubation in a holistic manner. They created two common infrastructures for Entrepreneurs (Budding and Established) called PRIME Startup Hubs in Shillong and Tura, where entrepreneurs receive support services such as mentoring, incubation, skill development, office space, funding and more.

So far PRIME has incubated over 180 entrepreneurs over the last two years of its existence. Over 200 entrepreneurs have received funding through PRIME’s innovative funding options. More than 1,000 entrepreneurs have received various training and capacity buildings. Out of all incubated entrepreneurs, around 60% are from rural areas and more than 50% are women-led enterprises. The predominant sectors in the incubated cohorts are aligned with the general economic structure of the state: agri- and agri-allied, food processing, handicrafts and tourism. A majority of entrepreneurs supported by PRIME work on solutions that are having a positive impact on the state. Based on the learning of the last two years of supporting entrepreneurship in Meghalaya, this Fellowship has been conceptualised to bring the much-needed support mechanisms to the grassroot level and propel rural Meghalaya to the next level.

Being an Entrepreneur at 16 Years By Harneet Kaur

Being an Entrepreneur at 16 Years

By Harneet Kaur

There used to be an era when 16 was all about teenage stuff. It was about friends, food and fun. The new generation is quite practical and serious about their life and career. This is worth appreciation.

Being an entrepreneur at 16 is fascinating. You are your boss. This position brings a lot of challenges along. The most basic is a lack of funds and experience. Do not let these obstacles hold you back. Today, we have enough technology for our help. There are business loans, online coaching programmes and information on the internet to help us get started. Just do not stop the learning process once you have started. Keep it a continuous process for consistent growth in your startup and life.

Here are a few tips to help you get started:

  1. Identify the gap in the established market. If you start searching for tips on the internet, this one tops the list. It is the fundamental principle to understand this point when you are thinking of starting a business. Until and unless you do not understand this point, likely, your business won't flourish. Every market has a gap. This gap is an area where you can dominate and excel. Working on your niche is great, but becoming an excelled player in the established market can bring success. Take an aptitude test to understand your business strengths. Think about how you can use these strengths to make a difference in the market gap. Analyze your past experiences to understand what changes you seek. You can also go through old critiques and reviews of customer feedback for a better understanding of what is required.

  2. Have a Solid Business plan. A well-written business plan is a must-have for not just the entrepreneur and the business but the ones associated with it as well. A business plan helps the employees to understand their tasks and the performance required. Also, it gives the investors an idea about your financial requirements and if your business is worth investing in.

  3. Get your Legal Act sorted. As a minor, you won't be able to enter into any contracts directly. For this, you need to have the consent of an adult. Also, you cannot apply for a business loan yourself. You must have an adult co-sign the loan contract. This is an important decision. Think about who you can trust as a business partner till you reach the legal age to run and make legal decisions yourself.

  4. Get a Strong team. You will need a strong team to get your business to work. A team that is creative, ready to take risks, up for facing challenges and can speak up their minds. Your team and you should share a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. Listen to your team. Understand their issues. They might not always agree with you. Give them an opportunity and space to explain the reasons. It's your business and your decision, so be prepared for making the best possible decision in every situation. You might need to let go of your ego to make the right decision.

  5. Learn from Your Mistakes. It's fine to make a mistake. Keep patience. Be strong to own up to the responsibility of making a wrong decision. Be open to learning. Learn from the mistakes you make. Rethink the process. Analyze if you skipped a step or took a wrong step. You won't be able to improvise until you open up to your mistakes. Talk to your team. Ask for suggestions. Let them help you. It's ok to ask for help.

  6. Networking is a Must. To bring yours and the presence of your products strong in the market, start networking. If you network the right way you can save some money on marketing your products. Your audience can do that for you if they truly believe in them. Networking also opens up a gate of information and ideas for you. The more you converse with other people the more information you receive. Once you start interacting with people and letting them know about your capabilities, a lot more business opportunities open up. Also, it provides you with a space to retrospect on where you lack. It lets you think if you need to upgrade a specific skill.

  7. Never Ignore Feedback. Never ignore feedback from either your team or your customers. It helps you evaluate your growth. If you are ignoring the feedback, it means you are hiding from a problem. Until you face the problem, you can never find a solution. Your business works because of your customers. You will only add more trouble if you ignore your customers. A simple note of gratitude or apology can turn your negative into a positive. Take feedback from your team also. Show interest in what they are trying to convey to you. Understand their body language. Ask them if the work environment is comfortable enough. Do not make excuses.

  8. Set a Financial Budget. Setting up a practical financial budget is very important. It helps you to avoid any financial missteps in the early stages of your startup. When you have a financial budget set, it allows you to decide when and how many employees you need to hire. It allows you to understand when and where you need to make investments. A proper budget prevents you from taking too many business loans. It also helps you take a back step when it comes to engaging and buying marketing tools. These tools are expensive and not every tool is fit for your business. Opt for the one that suits your requirements best and fits your budget.

Now that you are all set to enter the world of entrepreneurs, be ready to face all sorts of challenges, sacrifices in personal life and criticism. Be strong and have a positive approach. You are young and full of new ideas. Invest your energy and creativity but do not forget to take care of your mental and emotional health. Happy entrepreneuring!

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A CONTENT WRITER ? By Harneet Kaur

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A CONTENT WRITER?

By Harneet Kaur

Years ago, back in school, I wanted to be a doctor. I dropped the idea when they asked me to dissect a frog one day. Then I thought I would give engineering a try. Though I was doing well in my studies, I wasn't happy. I changed my subjects. I took English Literature and Language as my major. I started enjoying what I was doing. The assignments didn't seem to bother me anymore.

I opted to pursue B.Ed. immediately after I completed my Post Graduation. I had an instinct that teaching was not my job. Still, I gave teaching a try for one year at a private school, but the experience was the worst. I dropped the idea of being a teacher forever.

After a good gap of ten long years, I realised that I miss writing. I longed to write. I started writing about everything I could. After much thought, hesitation and doubts, I decided I want to be a freelance content writer. Working as a freelancer would let me work at my convenience. And I would be doing what I love the most – Writing!

Finally, I landed the job of my fascination - Content Writing!

This was my journey in the field of content writing. I would like to ask you, why did you choose to become a content writer? What have been your reasons?

I'm asking you a straightforward and fundamental question—a question which makes a lot of sense and influences your writings.

Did you opt to become a content writer because you enjoy writing or because it is trending? Once, everyone wanted to do an MBA. They hardly thought if they wanted to make a career that needed an MBA degree or not. I remember having friends who went crazy about doing an MBA. And once they completed the degree, they went outside India and started working as Financial advisors, Market Research Analysts and whatnot. All those years of doing an MBA were wasted.

Let me explain how your reasons for becoming a content writer may affect the content you create and your scope in the field.

If you decided to be a content writer out of a love for writing, you made the right decision. Writers who enjoy writing do not restrict themselves to a specific niche. They love to explore more and take their explorations to the public. Because words fascinate them, they read about what they are unaware of and then create content that is unique and creative. And because they are open to new subjects, they have a better scope in this field.

Research is fun for these writers. They are willing to study each subject with interest. They want to add value to the already available content. Therefore, they do their research well and create content that is informative and plagiarism free.

Writing doesn't bore these writers. They enjoy writing and can spend hours writing on different subjects.

These writers, for obvious reasons, get better work opportunities. The clients trust them and are willing to pay a good amount of money. Thus, Content writing gives them job satisfaction.

Those who decided that they wanted to become a content writer just because their siblings or friends are doing it, trust me if you do not have a passion for it, you are lost. Writing about just one subject won't take you anywhere.

You might be skilled and well informed about that one subject. However, the question remains, how much? Are you passionate enough about that one subject? For example, you feel that you can be a successful travel blogger or you can write articles for a travel company. Here is a reality check. The travel niche is split up into several sub-niches. You need to identify the one you want to excel in and go for it! Every day you need to upgrade your knowledge for that particular niche as the requirements and queries keep changing. They can be too substantial.

Furthermore, it's not only about writing a piece of content. It is about making it appealing to the global audience. You must be comfortable using WordPress, have a solid understanding of SEO, and can meet deadlines and communicate. You must be comfortable reading and re-reading your content and making changes to it. Editing and proofreading is the key element to curate quality content.

Also, if you think you can simply copy and paste content from some other article or blog because you lack knowledge about the subject, trust me it's not going to work. Plagiarism is unacceptable and reduces your worth as a content writer. The client can quickly figure out that your content is copied with the availability of endless plagiarism checking Applications. No client will ever get back to a content writer who provides copied content.

I do not mean to discourage you. What I want is for you to stop and think again. What you want to be in life. Think if you are comfortable with all that is required to be a Content Writer. Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone and be prepared to do all the research work? Are you open enough to accept the positive as well as the negative feedback? Can you handle criticism? If your answer is no or you are having second thoughts. It's ok. Reconsider your decision.

Content writing is not an easy job. However, if you truly live with the passion and have the drive to do more with the words and proficiency, you are welcome to the world of Content Writers!

An Overview of eMail Marketing By Urvashi Arya

 An Overview of eMail Marketing

By Urvashi Arya

#EMail

#EmailMarketing

#ReminderEMail

#EmailList

#DigitalMessages

The most effective kind of digital marketing is email marketing. This method entails sending commercial email communications to clients. A newsletter, promotional material, product release, or quick sales can all be included in the email content. Typical email content includes advertisements, business demands, and other similar items.

Email marketing advantages

Email marketing has numerous advantages in cost and implementation compared to other marketing tactics. Email marketing builds trust and brand loyalty while also increasing revenue and customers. As a result, this marketing strategy results in increased sales and profit.

  • Email marketing is both free and inexpensive to implement. With a simple click on a single button, you can send thousands of emails to people in a single day. To send emails, you don't need to invest in pricey software.

  • You can increase brand loyalty for your company. This is because you continue reminding your customer about your company.

  • Email marketing can help you boost and maintain website visitors. There is no need for someone to return to your site once they have received the information. When you give them a personalized email, on the other hand, you attract them to produce and learn more about your company.

  • This is a specific strategy to boost sales. If your customer has lost interest in your items and stopped purchasing them, you might rekindle their interest by sending win-back emails.

  • Third-party interventions do not affect email marketing. For example, social media and Google's algorithms constantly change and update. This can occasionally undermine a company's entire marketing plan. Fortunately, email marketing does not have this issue.

  • Email marketing is a computer-assisted procedure. You don't have to sit in a chair for hours on end sending out emails. Get in touch with an email service provider. Allow them to manage all of the marketing's technicalities and complications.

EMAIL TYPES FOR MARKETING

Transactional, promotional, and lifecycle emails are the three primary forms of eCommerce marketing emails.

Each of these emails follows a different format and serves another goal. The type of email to send depends on the prospect in the buying process.

Let's take a look at each of these emails individually.

EMAILS FOR TRANSACTIONS:

When a customer makes an online purchase, transactional emails are issued. These include order confirmation, shipment details, and receipt information.

A transactional email has a 70-90 percent chance of being opened by the recipient. They're curious about when and where their order will be delivered.

This benefits marketers because transactional emails may be used to provide additional information about their company. Here are a few examples of such emails:

Order confirmation and receipt by email:

These emails are sent when an order is verified, and the buyer has paid. These emails can be used to encourage customers to purchase product accessories. For example, if they've ordered a camera, you could propose they get a lens.

You can also ask clients to buy products similar to those they recently bought. For example, if they ordered a dress shirt, recommend matching ties to go with it.

An email confirming delivery:

These emails are sent at the last minute, right before the goods are dispatched. Customers are encouraged to order additional goods with their shipment. You can encourage your clients to send presents to their friends and family by recommending referral schemes.

MARKETING EMAILS:

These are emails whose main objective is to promote your company to the general audience. These include a monthly email newsletter, ephemeral bargains and sale offers, promotions, and content updates, among other sorts of promotional content.

Make sure your content isn't uninteresting. Otherwise, you risk boring the reader and losing their interest in your company. This is not good since they will not anticipate your following email and story. Even worse, some people may opt-out of your email list. So, to strengthen your relationship with your audience, publish information that they enjoy and that is relevant to their requirements.

For example, if you are anyone who is selling health and fitness products, your content should be about health and exercise. Don't write about fashion if you don't work in the industry; your readers will be turned off.

Emails for check-in:

Subscribers receive check-in emails in which they are asked for product or service recommendations and comments. You can seek their opinion on improving the user experience even more. You might include a questionnaire forum in the email and invite recipients to complete it.

EMAILS FROM THE LIFECYCLE:

These emails are highly targeted and are sent in response to particular activities taken by prospects. The sort of lifecycle email that must be sent is determined by the stage of the buyer's journey that the option is in. Cart abandonment emails, welcome emails, win-back series emails, and second-order emails are examples of these emails.

Consider the various forms of lifecycle emails.

Emails about abandoned shopping carts:

Customers who have added a few things to their shopping cart but do not check out receive these notifications. The email reminds the customer to complete the transaction and guides them through the procedure. These emails can yield a 5-11 percent return on investment.

You can give tepid clients a special discount if they buy something. Although offering discounts may not result in a total profit, it does allow you to make a transaction that would otherwise be lost. Mind well that some people will take advantage of this special deal. They can do this by abandoning their carts to receive a discount afterward.

Email greetings:

These are the initial emails people receive after joining your mailing list. Avoid making it dull and insignificant. Here, you update your subscribers on various elements of your business and the numerous items and services you provide.

Second-class mail:

Customers are encouraged to buy other items similar to the products they have purchased in these communications. Please send an email to a consumer who has ordered a camera from your website, recommending that they buy a lens for that camera.

You can also urge them to make cross-item purchases, such as buying a dress shirt and then asking them to buy a tie to go with it.
